More Cutting..................

Not much left...........................

Well,..after many rainy weekends and not much time to offer, I fianlly got to spend a bit of time tearing more of the KILLBEETLE project down.

I didn;t get as many pictures , but did take some shots to help explain some facts that are probably not very well "photo documented" to help some of the folks her understand how things are put together, and maybe of how to determine how to take something apart.

This picture is of the car after I and my help cut the front half of the top off the car.............this also gave us some more opportunities to show some close-ups of other neat features of the construction of the Beetle.

This is the next gradual step to close-up where the roof is joined to the side body panel,. The point of the picture is only to give a general shot before we get a lot closer.

A Closer look gives a good shot of the folded seam of sheetmetal that is the very support and strength of the roof of the car, and is possibly one of the most economical building techniques I've seen in automotive construction.
